Actor Wesley Snipes returns to the big screen in the action movie “The Ependables 3” which arrives in theaters this weekend. Snipes stars as “Doc” in the third installment of the franchise which opens nationwide on Friday Aug. 15.
He joins a lineup that includes fellow action icons Sylvester stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Terry Crews, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson. In a clip from Movies Coming Soon Channel the “Blade” star speaks of his admiration for his co-stars’ work.
“I’ve always wanted to work with a lot of the guys in this film. I’ve wanted to work with Harrison, I’ve wanted to work with Mel. I wanted to be Harrison and Mel, let alone work with them. I’ve wanted to work with Jet, Jet Li, Antonio, man I’m a fan of a lot of these guys, pretty much all of them. I’m honored to be apart of this cast.“
This is a comeback of sorts for the 52-year-old Snipes who was released from prison in the spring of 2013 after serving time for tax evasion. Spike Lee has voiced his desire to collaborate again with the actor having directed him in “Jungle Fever” and “Mo’Better Blues”.
