The third set of Magic: The Gathering's Scars of Mirrodin block, codenamed "Action", has been confirmed to be New Phyrexia in an official post over at the Magic Arcana. The enigmatic Monty Ashley confirms what many have suspected for some time, players will not be headed into the upcoming prerelease events in May wondering what set they'll be cracking open.
There's also a mythic rare Phyrexian Praetor, presumably the first of the legendary Praetor cycle and it's a real doozy.
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite

If you've ever sat down and played a game of Magic: The Gathering, your assessment of Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is likely right on the money:
1) Really expensive to play, may make this Phyrexian powerhouse too much for constructed.
2) Will likely win you the game immediately if fielded in any Limited format.
A Massacre Wurm of a different color, fielding a significant buff and a devastating surprise, Elesh Norn is off-the-wall bonkers in a Limited environment, though expensive to play. Expect the rest of the Praetor cycle to follow suit.
Upon hitting the table your creatures will likely insta-gib your opponent before Elesh Norn even has to attack, as any defenders are weakened or killed immediately for your not-so-righteous charge.
Interestingly enough, Elesh Norn continues to represent some of the same Phyrexian philosophy we saw in Suture Priest - A blessing for you, and a curse for your opponent.
Along with this information we're treated to a delectable video showcasing some of what's to come, a predictable but tasty plot twist as "the infectors become the infected" - expect to see all kinds of hell break loose with what's become the status quo over the last two sets as the third set, as always, is poised to break all the rules.
Expect nothing less than your favorite metal machinations and infectious ichorites to be rolled up together in a giant vat of fun and spewed forth onto Mirrodin.
Action is here, and its name is New Phyrexia.
