Global Conservation Group Action Alert:

On August 10, 2014, St. Patrick's Parish in Stephensville, Wisconsin hosted an event known as "pig wrestling" in which pigs were punched in the face, kicked, body-slammed, yelled at and thrown onto a barrel. After the event, all 37 pigs were brutally slaughtered.

This illegal animal fighting event is in violation of Wisconsin Crimes Against Animals Chapter 951.08, however church officials and local authorities refuse to take action. Pigs are smart, gentle, sentient beings. They have the same ability to feel pain, emotions and the desire to live. In fact, pigs are more intelligent than dogs and three year old humans.
