(Sandy Springs, GA) — Act3 Productions, the theater company based in Sandy Springs, will present the military crime drama A Few Good Men, by Aaron Sorkin, September 19 through 28. The riveting drama, based on the court–martial of two Marines for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine. The play is based on actual events that took place at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in 1986. It raises questions about the Marine code of conduct and the military establishment. The play opened on Broadway in 1989. In 1992, it was adapted into a motion picture, starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore. The powerful story earned the movie a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Picture.

The show opens with a preview performance on Thursday, September 19, and continues through September 28 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. There is a matinee at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 22.
