'Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man' inspires another film

Steve Harvey made a big splash a few years ago with his insightful relationship book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, offering women a glimpse into the male psyche and advise on how to deal with the opposite sex. The groundbreaking book reached #1 on the New York Times Bestseller’s list and inspired the hit romantic comedy film Think Like a Man. Now the highly anticipated sequel Think Like a Man Too, is on its way to theaters, featuring all four couples from the first film who were played by an impressive ensemble cast that includes: Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence J, Romany Malco, and Gabrielle Union.

Although love is in the air, the battle of the sexes continues to rage on. This time they head to Vegas for a wedding. However, the trouble caused by their humorous misadventures, threatens to ruin the trip and could put a stop to the big event altogether.

The cast also features comedian Kevin Hart along with Dennis Haysbert (The Unit); Jennifer Lewis (Baggage Claim); and Gary Owen (Ride Along).

So, what sets this film apart from the original? Producer Will Packer was quoted by Indiewire as saying: "We're excited to follow these beloved characters into the next chapter. The first movie was about our couples coming together. This one is a fun romp which explores whether these relationships can survive against the backdrop of Vegas."

In addition to many of the actors reuniting for this project, the director of the first film, Tim Story, is helming this movie with a screenplay by the same writers Keith Merryman and David A. Newman. The collaboration of Merryman and Newman has resulted in more than one hit romantic comedy; they also teamed up on the screenplay for 2011’s Friends with Benefits.

Think Like a Man Too opens in theaters nationwide June 20, 2014.
