The ACM Awards provide a fantastic platform for giving. At the 44th Annual ACM Awards, the Academy launched ACM Lifting Lives® and acted as a conduit to increase awareness of and funding for the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that aids wounded American troops. These programs use music therapy as a means to help our veterans and wounded warriors, while providing grants to help them ease back into life. For more information, please log onto www.ACMLiftingLives.org or www.ACMcountry.com or follow on Twitter at @ACMawards for more immediate updates.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit ACM Lifting Lives®, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. Through partnerships and strong ties in the music industry, generous donations and the support of artists and fans, ACM Lifting Lives® is able to fund everything from disaster relief and helping communities in need, to music education in schools and music camps for those with disabilities.

In addition to spontaneous and varied giving throughout the year - such as partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and providing immediate financial assistance through our Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund-- ACM Lifting Lives® has three official annual giving opportunities. These include the Lifting Lives Grant Cycle, the ACM Awards and the ACM Entertainer of the Year Matching Gift. Giving Opportunities for ACM’s grant funding can be found by clicking the link. Through Lifting Lives grants, we fund music education and programs across the country that advance healing through music, such as music therapy in schools and hospitals.

As ACM says on its website, “Through television specials benefitting ACM Lifting Lives including this event, George Strait: ACM Artist of the Decade, All-Star Concert, and soon ACM presents: Brooks and Dunn – The Last Rodeo, and Girl’s Night Out: Superstar Women of Country, the Academy has made significant monetary commitments to ACM Lifting Lives and has demonstrated that ACM Lifting Lives is the top priority for all Academy activities.”

God Bless our Troops, the American Academy of Country Music and ACM Lifting Lives, Dick Clark Productions, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, all soon to be announced artists, ACM’s generous benefactors, friends and fans and I can hear Merle singing “God Bless America!”
