ACLU rates Gary Johnson above President Obama in new report card out today

The ACLU has issued its Liberty Watch Report Card today and Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson leads the pack followed by Ron Paul and President Obama. Other GOP candidates did not even come close to getting a high ranking. The report does not take into account the President's outlandish act of signing the NDAA.  It is clear Obama's ranking would take a few hits once that act over the weekend is taken into account.

Whereas such a report could hurt Ron Paul in Iowa, it could help him in other states and the report proves Gary Johnson made the right choice in joining the Libertarian Party, ditching the GOP, for his presidential run as it is the party of principle and freedom. Some in the Libertarian Party tend discredit the ACLU on a number of factors (mostly on their dismal record of defending 2nd Amendment cases), however the ACLU's track record is mostly in sync with the libertarian message.

Gary Johnson is proving to be the candidate to beat in the general election as he is the one candidate in the field with the broadest appeal for Americans overall.

It would have been better of the ACLU to include all of the Libertarian Party candidates and other third party candidates. Perhaps sometime this year they will do so.
