A header in the 92nd minute from defender Massimo Gobbi gave the tie to Parma FC (2-2) and prevented ACF Fiorentina to add a home win, on Monday afternoon, just when it seemed safe after trailing in the second half by a goal.
It was reported that Parma FC took the lead with a goal from Uruguayan Walter Gargano in stoppage time of the first half. Additionally, Parma striker and American born Giuseppe Rossi had to leave the field after 36 minutes.
The injury that Rossi sustained was a knee injury that was similar to what happened to the striker two years ago while playing in Spain for Villarreal. So far, reports have not been made on the severity of the injury.
Rossi emerged this season, who leads the scoring charts in Serie A, after signing five goals in the first five days. As far as it looked, the injury did not look serious.
In the second half, the home side, ACF Fiorentina, turned the score with goals from Gonzalo Rodriguez, who signed the 1-1 in the 64th minute, and Peru's Juan Vargas, who set it at the 78th minute and making the score 2-1.
Gobbi, former player of Fiorentina assisted the French center Jonathan Biabiany at the 92nd minute to tie the game.
Fiorentina, despite the setback suffered today, remains in fifth place, three points behind Inter who is in fourth place.
