The preliminary hearing for North Hollywood prior resident and popular Salsa dancer Alex Da Silva began this week according to a report on myFOXla.com. Da Silva has spent almost six months in jail after being charged of eight counts, four of them of rape, by the District Attorney. The reports of rape came from four female dance students of Da Silva, who maintain he “uses his dance skills to prey upon women.”
The video shows Da Silva wearing orange jail clothes, handcuffed, accompanied by his new attorney. It also shows his mother, Edith Da Silva, saying “I live downstairs, right below his room, and there ain’t anybody being raped in there.”
Since the accused dancer is unable to pay the six million dollars bail imposed on him, he went back to County jail right after the proceedings. Per the report, in about five weeks the prosecution will present their case to a judge, who will then determine if there is enough material to sustain a trial.

I personally know Alex I did some work for him at his shop on Valley Blvd.I have no problem believing the allegations against him he is egotistical and very self centered he has cheated people out of money owed for services rendered including the homeless! How much lower can you get! the moral of this story BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SOW EVENTUALLY HARVEST TIME COMES AROUND! if you ever spent 5 minutes around this repulsive individual you would understand he looks down on people is always scheming to get over that attitude alone tells you he is capable of the accusations sorry Stacy but lets call a spade a spade and what if it was one of your family members who had been violated in this manner? stop looking the other way and realize Jeffery Dalhmer had family too sure who had to accept he was a monster
i also know alex..have worked with him in the past...and evrything the other person above has said is true about him...im not saying he is guilty..and im not saying the woman are liers..but i will give both sides a chance to speak...before we judge them...
alex has burned so many people...so many custom car shops...he is not welcomed in a few shops that i know of....wow..time to pay up alex...
It's a good thing the judge in the case isn't reading these comments because based on moral interpetude he'd be guilty already. I've met the guy, my sister hired him to do a Macy's Latino event many years ago. He did seem a little egotistical, but that's not a crime. But based on his character our marketing agency never used him again.
and I am not saying he is guilty but his character sure makes you wonder and some one who thinks he can do as he pleases with no regard to others leads you to believe that he is wuitecapable of what he is being accused of and as far as a dancer any one can stand in one place and twril a women that is not salsa dancing
Does anyone know what happened at his trial? I know it was suppose to be February 25, 2011 or somewhere around there have seen nothing else on the internet and am quite interested I am no longer living in L.A. was it continued ?

know any of the details? from what i have gathered the women all had the same body build had some sort of resemblance just like a serial rapist he drugged some of them and the thing is this Idiot had beautiful women throwing themselves at him he had no reason to do this but his arrogance and didn't understand that NO ! means NO ! has now landed him in a situation where he may now be the one in danger of being on the receiving end of an unpleasant confrontation in prison, hear they don't like rapist there keep this updated on his trial I am one of those he cheated while I was in L.A. and would like to know out come I do check internet for news but had not even found anything saying trial had been continued till March but will have an eye on it now I don't know if he is guilty or not but I know him and do not find it hard to believe what an IDIOT!!!!!!
I watched and listened to the accusers when they testified last year at the preliminary hearing. I am aware of the substance of the accusations. The jurors who decide this case will hear all of the evidence and have an opportunity to assess witness credibility. After languishing in jail for 20 long months, Alex will now be afforded the justice denied him since August 2009.
The trial actually started today 4.4.11. I'm paying attention. Anything I hear I will post about.

This has nothing to do with what he is accused of. This has to do about being a crappy human being for years and the horrible way he treated other human beings. He is exactly where he is supposed to be for being a spiritually empty person. What happened to him as a child that damaged him so much as an adult?This has nothing to do about being innocent or guilty. He has to do with his karma debt he has to repay for all the good human being he burned. This is the best thing for him to learn HUMILITY
