Accredited school teaching acupuncture, massage therapy, medical assisting and nursing in Columbus

Wondering where to find  quality alternative (aka complementary, holistic) healthcare education to begin your new career? The American Institute of Alternative Medicine (AIAM) is an accredited institution in Columbus, Ohio that has been offering such education since 1994. AIAM offers Licensed Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Chinese Massage Therapy, and has recently added Medical Assisting (MA), Practical Nursing (PN), and Registered Nursing (RN).

The MA program include education in basic understanding of alternative medicine systems. The PN and RN programs have a holistic nursing philosophy and conceptual framework, and are approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN is an advanced placement program for LPNs to attain their ADN in just 5 quarters.

Co-founders Diane Sater and Helen Yee are committed to quality education for alternative health practitioners. They recognized the need for conventional healthcare workers to increase their awareness  about alternative practices to be more effective with their many patients now using some form of CAM. With this in mind, AIAM developed the MA and PN programs to help foster the continued American shift towards integrative medicine - blending the best of both Western Medicine and Complementary and Alternative (CAM) therapies with highly qualified healthcare practitioners.

AIAM is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and is also approved for financial aid with the U. S. Department of Education , as well as for the training of veterans, eligible dependents, reservists and the Ohio National Guard.

AIAM's Professional Master's Level Acupuncture Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). ACAOM is the US Department of Education recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.

AIAM holds monthly Open Houses providing refreshments and information. Dates are posted on the AIAM website.

I think that it can be something that really can benefit someone. You just need to give it a try and you can see if it will work for you. There might be instances where it isnt going to do what you want it to do, but there will be a lot of times that it could work for you. www.fbespa.com
