According to ComicBook.com on Monday, in an interview with "Avengers: Age of Ultron's" Jeremy Renner, the actor had alluded to the possibility that Hawkeye could appear in "Captain America 3." The film is to be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and the also directed the predecessor, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
Marvel Studios has ensured spots for Renner's cohorts whilst furthering the comic book movie franchise by allowing for a multitude of film obligations by the actors towards the studios. This would ensure the already established team of the Avengers crew as Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury, has signed a contract for nine films and "Captain America's" Chris Evans has signed on for six.
This would just be logical as there's already an established familiarity with the characters. Renner is already appearing in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" as the sharpshooting bow and arrow S.H.I.E.L.D. expert as well as the famous red-headed S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, the Black Widow, as played by Scarlett Johannson.
There hadn't been much said about the Russo bother's "Captain America 3" film until Renner made his statement about the appearance of Hawkeye in the film:
“There are rumblings of Captain America 3. I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man (laughs). I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”
Sounds as if Marvel Studios is making it difficult for Renner to take a break and a breather to relax at his homestead as it looks as if the organization has been keeping him quite busy. This could be telling of a counter production of yet another S.H.I.E.L.D. pairing synonymous to Black Widow's buddy movie with Steve Rogers in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". This may make one wonder that the idea of having Hawkeye pairing up with Rogers may be the end result of the events that have occurred in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
"Captain America 3" is scheduled to open in theaters come May 6, 2016.
