Cabin at Quiet Ceek Inn
There is no shortage of accommodations in the rustic mountain town of Idyllwild – from hotels and motels to cabins and B&B’s. While these all offer basic amenities, Quiet Creek Inn and Strawberry Creek Inn stand-out because of their charm and hospitality.
Quiet Creek Inn
A combination of duplex cabins alongside Strawberry Creek and independent, privately-owned cabins makes up Quiet Creek Inn. The duplex suites are secluded among the pine trees, away from the main highway allowing for peace and quiet, but still an easy walk or drive into the village. The cabins are also located within a short walk or drive to the village, but allow for a more homey and residential feel. The duplexes have mini-fridges, microwaves and dishes – enough to reheat leftovers or snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate. The cabins are fully furnished with fully-equipped kitchens: fancy making a turkey dinner? Overall, this Inn creates a wonderful ambiance and welcoming hospitality for a wonderful weekend getaway.
Strawberry Creek Inn
In my opinion, the best part of a B&B is the breakfast – and Strawberry Creek’s breakfasts are delicious. This isn’t your typical omelet, coffee and orange juice joint, but instead offer an array of tropical juice, apple French toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, or homemade scones, are just a few of their delicious seasonal offerings. And, if you can’t get enough of breakfast, you can purchase one of two a gourmet picnics for a nominal fee. This “green hotel” is beautifully decorated and loaded with charm, including hammocks, which make a perfect place for an afternoon nap after a morning hike.
