Accident closes ISB to westbound traffic in Daytona Beach Saturday night (Photos)

An accident in Daytona Beach closed westbound International Speedway Boulevard west of town Saturday night. Daytona Beach Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Larry Stoney said the accident sent three people to Halifax Medical Center; one in critical condition and two others in serious condition. He also said the accident damaged equipment supplying power to the traffic signal at International Speedway Boulevard and LPGA Boulevard. Daytona Beach Police closed International Speedway Boulevard to westbound traffic Saturday night at Tomoka Farms Road, east of the accident, and also on LPGA Boulevard at Municipal Stadium while repairs were being made to the traffic signal equipment. Units with the Daytona Beach Fire Department and the Volusia County Fire Services were also on the scene of the accident Saturday night.
