Accessories designer Candy Woolley presented her line of artistic and unique handbags on the runway “A Woman of Many Hats” on September 21st, 2013 at Factory Light Studios and Gallery in West Palm Beach, during the first year of Fusion Fashion & Art Week 2013.
The collection featured graphic shapes and unexpected color combinations-- this comes from Candy Woolley’s background in graphic and fine arts. The inspiration behind each bag was the actual woman who wears a Candy Woolley bag.
“A woman that wears a Candy Woolley bag is a woman who wears many hats and she wears them well,” said Woolley. “When we custom make a bag, we listen to what a woman wants, and we make her dream bag a reality.”
To illustrate this concept on the runway the models wore hats in different shapes and all in white to go along with white jumper suits. White was the perfect backdrop so the colors and details of the bags would stand out.
Each handbag was made one at a time and many bags were custom-made by the designer herself along with her mother Marta Alicia (they have over forty years’ experience in the industry).
The collection was made in their studio in South Florida using the highest quality leathers and skins.
