Accessing Blocked Websites with a VPN

See also

Just like the volume of users, the number of websites on the internet also continues to rise per minute. Whether people go to a café for getting a cup of coffee, are working late at the office, relaxing at home or sitting in the computer lab in school; they don’t forget to connect to this global network. There are a huge number of purposes that can be served by the internet these days such as connecting with friends and family, sharing information, running a business or simply researching for a school project. However, some users might be disappointed when they are unable to access websites that have been blocked by internet filters.

There are several reasons why these access restrictions are placed, but it cannot be denied that they can be a nuisance most of the time. Previously, no standard method had been introduced that could be used for accessing blocked content. Nonetheless, because technological development and improvement is consistent, a horde of tools has been introduced that can be used for compromising this restriction. A popular method that’s used by some people nowadays is to access the blocked website via proxy, but this procedure is not reliable or secure for that matter.

A safer and more effective choice for people in the long term is to use a virtual private network or VPN. It also enables individuals to view blocked websites and applications that may have been blocked in their area or country for one reason or another. A virtual private network is simply a network technology that is utilized in creating a secure network on other unsecure and public networks like the internet. In fact, a secure network can also be created on a private network, which is owned by a service provider. People can get access to neutral IP addresses from the private network of the VPN itself and use these addresses for surfing the internet with complete anonymity and security.

A VPN service, such as PrimoVPN allows people to bypass filters and firewalls that may be incorporated for getting access to the content that has been blocked. Moreover, sometimes it is also used by people when they wish to browse particular websites without being discovered. A VPN works by creating an encrypted tunnel between its servers and the individual’s computer and they can then reach the blocked content privately. There are a number of reasons why a virtual private network is a better choice for people as compared to other options, such as a proxy.

Yes, people have to pay for a VPN while proxy can be used freely, but there is no guarantee that a proxy will work 24/7. Furthermore, there are some proxies that can only access specific blocked websites while a VPN not only works all the time, but also works for every type of blocked website. Apart from that, a VPN also keeps the private and confidential data of users exactly that i.e. private while a proxy can be compromised and can lead to loss of sensitive data. Therefore, it will be a sound choice for people to buy a VPN account.
