Accept to unleash a new album - 'Stalingrad'

The German Metal Masters, Accept, are poised to unleash a new album upon the world! Following on the heels of their highly successful 2010 release, ‘Blood Of The Nations’, and their subsequent world tour, Accept will bring us ‘Stalingrad’ in April of 2012.

‘Stalingrad’ will come to us via Nuclear Blast Records (Kreator, Sepultura, Dimmu Borgir, Messhugah) and is produced by Andy Sneap. Sneap has quite a lengthy and impressive resume. He played guitar with the Thrash Metal band, Sabbat, in the late 80s and did a short stint in Fozzy (with Chris Jericho and Rich Ward) in the early 2000s. Sneap also produced and worked with Megadeth, Testament, Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine and many, many more.

Guitarist Wolf Hoffman had this to say about Sneap:

"ACCEPT and Andy Sneap have the perfect synergy. This was so clear with 'Blood Of The Nations' and we are excited to continue on that path. Andy is not only an amazing and prolific producer but also a very good friend who has long become a member of the ACCEPT family."

And Hoffman commented on the new album:

"We put ourselves under enormous pressure to bring out a new album right after this tour marathon, which brought us two times around the globe. But we are very proud about what we delivered with Stalingrad and we hope our fans will like it as well."

‘Stalingrad’ will be released in several forms: CD, 2 LP with gatefold, or limited edition CD + bonus DVD with footage from the band’s most recent tour.

Hoffman and bassist Peter Baltes have always kind of run the band. I would even go so far as to compare Baltes to Steve Harris (Iron Maiden). Also in the group: guitarist Herman Frank, drummer Stefan Schwarzmann and new singer - as of 2009 - Mark Tornillo.

Accept is in top form and reminds us that Traditional Metal will always be the best. Accept tied with Judas Priest for the best concert in 2011.
