Accept a Gift Graciously and Give Abundantly

See also

The holiday season means something different to everyone; however we all share in the joy of giving. Giving a gift, giving your time or just giving your love from afar brings a smile to the face of another human. Giving is the easy part in the holiday season and in return, the most extraordinary act by giving is that the recipient feels a sense of being. A gift doesn't have to be material; a gift can be a simple smile, a phone call just to say “I am thinking about you”, a holiday card or even just sharing a meal together. Memories and feelings last a life time and are never forgotten.

Now you may be thinking that giving is more important than receiving. If you are thinking that, you are wrong. Giving and receiving balance each other. It is very unfair and selfish to give and not accept the giving that someone is bestowing on you. When people give something of themselves, both parties benefit. So when receiving a gift, be grateful and thankful that someone thought about you. And let the giver enjoy the moment of making someone happy.

Accept a gift graciously and give abundantly.
