The 2013 ACC tournament brackets are getting fleshed out. The Miami Hurricanes enter the ACC tournament brackets as the No. 1 seed after clinching the regular season ACC title on Saturday (March 9). The 62-49 win over Clemson left Miami with a 24-6 overall record and a 15-3 record within the conference. Though Duke still has one conference game left, the team becomes the No. 2 seed.
NCAA Tournament Seeding Predictions
With Duke at No. 2, it makes the North Carolina Tar Heels the No. 3 seed. After that it gets a bit tricky. If Virginia wins its final regular season game, they become the No. 4 seed. If not, that makes North Carolina State No. 4 and Virginia No. 5. Tie-breakers will come in to play with most of the seeding after that, based on games taking place later on the weekend. The only exception to that is Boston College, which comes in at No. 8.
As the games begin to be completed over the weekend, the rest of the 2013 ACC tournament brackets will be updated below. As it stands, Miami, Duke, and North Carolina have three of the byes that will send them the schools into the quarterfinals of the tournament. The games for the tournament will begin next Thursday (March 14) with the first round playing out with the bottom eight qualifiers.
