The 2013 ACC tournament brackets began on Thursday (March 14). In the first game of the ACC tournament brackets, Boston College beat Georgia Tech in the morning match-up. The game wasn't really close, though, as the Eagles received 41 points from Olivier Hanlan in a really impressive shooting performance. He went 14-of-18 from the field and could present a challenge to any ACC team.
Updated 2013 NCAA Tournament Bracket Predictions
Now Boston College advances to face the No. 1 seeded Miami Hurricanes in the ACC quarterfinals. That's a tough match-up for any team and the Eagles will likely need another huge game from Hanlan to advance. Right now the Eagles are playing with house money, as the only way the school can qualify for the 2013 NCAA tournament is to run the table in the conference tournament and pull off several more upsets.
The 2013 ACC tournament brackets will continue with first round games on Thursday before heading into the quarterfinals on Friday (March 15). Duke and Miami seem like two schools that could possibly nab a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament by winning three straight games in the ACC, but with so many potential upsets lining up it would be surprising if both schools actually survived until the ACC Championship Game on Sunday (March 17).
