'Academy of Country Music Awards' nominees announced

The "Academy of Country Music" announced the nominees for the 48th Annual ACM Awards yesterday. The show will be held on Sun., April 7, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV, and will be broadcast live on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/delayed PT.

Hosting the show for the third year in a row will be Blake Shelton, along with first time host, Luke Bryan.

This will be the sixth year that fans have been allowed to vote for Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. The fans have voted in the finalists for Best New Female Vocalist, Best New Male Vocalist and Best New Vocal Duo/Group. The winners in those three categories are: Jana Kramer, Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line, and they will go on to compete for the overall ACM New Artist of the Year.

Leading the nominees this year is Eric Church, who has seven nominations, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, for "Chief," Video of the Year, Song of the Year for "Springsteen," for which he receives two nominations, as artist and songwriter. He also has a nomination for Single of the Year for "Springsteen," and Vocal Event of the Year, along with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for Aldean's "The Only Way I Know."
