Miss Indigo Blue’s Academy of Burlesque is sending a new set of burlesque dancers into the world. Students are taught under the supervision of super-burlesque star Miss Indigo Blue who is a three-time award-winner at the annual Miss Exotic World competition, a burlesque Queen at performances across the globe and one of the stars of Seattle’s own The Atomic Bombshells.
The graduation recital for Burlesque 101 will be held at Oddfellows in West Hall on Capitol Hill on Saturday, August 8. The show plays two times, one from 7pm to 8:30pm and the second from 9pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are available from Brown Paper Tickets.
Maybe you have always dreamed of showing off more skin in public or maybe you want to dare yourself to try something most people would never have the guts to do. Either way, Miss Indigo Blue’s Academy of Burlesque offers a wide range of classes for anybody, men included unless it specifically says otherwise. For women there is Burlesque 101 and for men there is Boylesque 101. Other classes include Bump and Grind Dance Class, Bellydance Basics, Burlesque 202, Ballet with Lily Verlaine to work on that natural grace, Walking in Heels, Burlesque Make-up and many more.
