Actors, and other cast and crew, not only have to rehearse for the work they do in films, but they have to rehearse at awards' events as well. The Academy Awards is no exception.
The first week and weekend of March 2010, leading up to The Academy Awards, has been a busy one for all involved in the intensive preparations.
There have been, and continue to be, up until the first moment the event is aired, an all out mass of preparing in all areas of this event.
A few of those areas included in such preparations are the - actors, speeches, promo, nominations, lighting and sound checks, food, tents, Oscar statue placements, award categories, plan B for weather changes or other possible 'mishaps,' makeup, hair, extras to fill in for talent, seating, set design, parties, media and the list goes on.
Some of the talent seen preparing their speeches are: Matt Damon, Sandra Bullock, Kate Winslet, Taylor Lautner, Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sam Worthingnton...

Love the behind the scenes stuff. Thanks for sharing. I saw the main Oscar once being put back into an old pick up truck to head back to storage. I liked my photos of him as much or more than the stars!!!! What a history of the statue too. thanks for reminding me.
