Academy Awards 2012: Red Carpet Fashion Recap
Best actor nominee George Clooney rocked an Armani tux with satiny lapels Sunday evening, but was instantly upstaged by his best red carpet accessory: high-fashion girlfriend Stacy Kiebler. Kiebler was dressed in a structured golden Marchesa gown with her blonde locks done in a side-swept hairstyle.
Clooney's pal and fellow Best Actor nominee Brad Pitt arrived on the 2012 Academy Awards red carpet with Angelina Jolie on his arm. Jolie wowed in a fashion-forward, black strapless Versace gown with a high leg-slit in front.

A few actresses took risks with their 2012 Academy Awards red carpet fashion, including Sandra Bullock and Jessica Chastain. Bullock opted for a black-and-white Marchesa design that showcased an unstructured blouse and more fitted skirt, with gold embellishment at her waist, while Jessica Chastain made an even more bold statement with her black and gold McQueen creation.
Several red carpet fashion trends emerged at Sunday's 2012 Oscars, including white gowns, metallic-tone gowns, long sleeves (especially long sleeves featuring cutouts or shirring), and one-shouldered frocks.
