Academy Awards 2011 - Anne Hathaway and James Franco dance to 'Grease?' Video

Academy Awards 2011 has many performers weaved throughout the handing out of the Oscars. Now a surprise video pops up of the hosts for this year’s Academy Awards and they are dancing away to the music of “Grease.” Is this a preview of something we will see on the Oscar show, James Franco and Anne Hathaway as Danny and Sandy?

James Franco recently posted a video on his newly created Twitter page that shows him dancing away to the music of “Grease” with Anne Hathaway as his partner. Nothing has been released to the public explaining this video, many are speculating that it is part of a routine that the Academy Award hosts will be doing Sunday night.

See the Anne Hathaway and James Franco “Grease” video HERE from the website Speakeasy.

Anne Hathaway appears as Sandy, right down to the bouncing hair and bright red lipstick. She is dancing with James Franco who is dressed in a leather jacket like Danny, in what looks like the carnival scene from “Grease.”

The video looks professionally done and has only been seen on James Franco’s Twitter page, who only has 154,000 followers right now because it is a new account.  The question goes unanswered - is this or is this not part of the Oscar’s performance on this video?

Connecticut Academy Award fans can see the show on Sunday night, with he Red Carpet Coverage starting  at 7pm EST and  the awards show starting at 8pm EST. Tune in to ABC Connecticut Channel 8 New Haven for live coverage.

It should be a fun time with Franco hosting! He’s one of the best actors of our generation though I feel his performance in 127 Days was not as good as Howl, which was by far the best movie of the year with its combination of animation, acting (James Franco as Allen Ginsberg), and cinematography. It’s just not the type of movie to get a nod from the academy. You can check out my Top Ten list on my artist's blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2010/12/top-10-movie-picks-of-2010.html and let me know what you’re favorite film of 2010 was!
