AC/DC delays release of upcoming album

It's been 2008 since Black Ice, AC/DC's latest double platinum album, was released (if you want to go back farther, their last album before that was 2000's Stiff Upper Lip). All the way back in May 2011, Angus Young announced the band would get back in the studio and record another record, in support for their upcoming world tour.

Unfortunately, the recording and release of the album will be pushed back to mid to late 2012, due to an illness in the band. While the specific illness and person have not been disclosed, Brian Johnson did reassure the fans, in a recent radio interview with "The Cowhead Show", that a speedy recovery will happen. "One of the boys is a little sick and I can't say anything, but he's getting better. He's doing wonderful. Full recovery fully expected."

This should be great news for the fans that have been waiting almost 4 years for Johnson, Malcolm, Angus, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd to get back in the studio. Luckily, the bandmates still really enjoy making music with each other.

"It's a wonderful thing when we get in a room. Whenever the boys get back together, I get all excited," Johnson continued. "The boys, after a while, pick the guitars up, Phil will make his way to the drums, Cliff will pull his bass out and then all of a sudden this noise comes out and I sit there with just this big old grin on my face."
