Texas occult metal mages Absu have announced additional dates to their well-received 2013 North American tour in support of their current album, Abzu. The band has also revealed that the third part of their latest musical trilogy, titled Apsu, is underway, though no material will be included in the dates.

Regarding the upcoming shows, vocalist/drummer Proscriptor states, "Since the release of our latest recording, Abzu, the response has been extremely vehement and now is the perfect moment to continue spreading the album's essence throughout unchartered regions the band did not perform in earlier this year. We purposely waited until the timing was ideal to embark on this additional journey, as we shall continue contaminating the communities with our craft of Mythological Occult Metal."

The band remains a trio, and this reporter can confirm that their recent outing is the band at top form, rivaling their classic era, circa The Third Storm of Cythraul. Don't miss out!
