On Jan. 16, it was announced that Nashville entertainment public relations (PR) firm Absolute Publicity celebrated its 5th anniversary since it launched. The firm started five years ago thanks to the efforts of president Don Murry Grubbs and it has gone on to represent some of the finest stars in country music, as well as other genres of music and entertainers.

Grubbs' first client was award-winning country vocalist Pam Tillis. "I am forever grateful to Pam for giving a young kid a shot. Without Pam, I don't know that others would have taken notice. I owe her a few lunches. I'm still working on those," he exclaimed via a press statement.

His elaborate roster of clients includes Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Country Music Hall of Famers Charley Pride and Mel Tillis, country group Restless Heart, iconic southern rock group The Marshall Tucker Band, Ray Stevens, Sammy Kershaw, country duo The Bellamy Brothers, country singer Billy Dean and wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Grubbs remarked in the press release, "Cultivating relationships in the media can be pretty strenuous. It takes a lot of time to get to know everyone but over the course of the past five years, we've managed to develop some many solid and key relationships in the media.

Particularly impressive about Grubbs is that he will be turning 30 years old next month. "At a young age, I'm very lucky to have been able to work with so many established, respected and wonderful people. No, actually I take that back. Luck has nothing to do with it. It's a God thing," he concluded.
