'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' fights vampires and the Civil War

The much anticipated "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" teaser movie trailer shows us a different Abraham Lincoln.  He is still the 16th President of the United States we have all come to know in our history books.   But along with his trademark top hat and dark beard, Abraham Lincoln not only leads our country through the Civil War, he also swings an ax to fight off vampires.

The screenplay to"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is written by New York native, Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote the original popular horror novel by the same name.  The novel went on to become a New York Times bestseller.

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" chronicles Lincoln's rise to the presidency, from his humble upbringing in a log cabin in Kentucky to the White House in Washington D.C.  Along with presiding over the Oval Office, Lincoln leads a double life, hunting vampires and slaying them with his ax.

Lincoln first learns vampires are real when he is a young child and discovers that vampires killed his mother.  He trains as a vampire hunter, vowing to kill as many vampires as he can.  The danger grows when he learns vampires in the South threatened to conquer the North, during one of the darkest periods in American history, the Civil War.
