Regina Jeffers is a Jane Austen sequel novelist / adaptation-ist. Her latest novel is The Phantom of Pemberley. You can find my interview with her here and read my review of the book here.
A master teacher, for thirty-nine years, Regina Jeffers has taught thousands of students English in the public schools of West Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina. Holding multiple degrees, Jeffers often serves as a Language Arts or Media Literacy consultant to surrounding school districts and has served on several state and national educational commissions.
Jeffers is a Time Warner Star Teacher and Crystal Apple Finalist, as well a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar. Jeffers originally self published her first book and was subsequently contacted by Ulysses press to publish and write more.
Jeffers writes Regency and contemporary romance. Her motto, 'Every woman dreams' comes from a larger quote, 'Every woman dreams of her one great love, the man who inspires an emotional response with just a glance across a crowded room. A romance novel must by definition exist purely for the advancement of the hero's love affair with the heroine; yet, the reader must want the hero to win the woman's love. To be believable, there must be a connection beyond the sexual appeal; there must be some conflict, which is character-driven. The characters must have believable reasons to be drawn together, as well as to be frustrated by their dreams.'
You can find out more on Jeffer’s website.
She also updates a blog.
