Abortion and gays: CBS plays politics with Super Bowl. After recently breaking their own policy by allowing a conservative Christian anti abortion ad to run during the Super Bowl, they are now refusing to run an ad from Mancrunch.com, a gay dating service.
The anti abortion ad is sponsored by Focus on the Family, a Christian hate group that preaches intolerance and bigotry for homosexuals, as well as denying a woman's right to reproductive health care and a force against comprehensive and effective sex education.
All the broadcast networks, including CBS, have policies that rule out the broadcast of certain types of contentious advocacy ads. In 2004, CBS cited such a policy in rejecting an ad by the liberal-leaning United Church of Christ, an ad inviting gays and others who had been shunned by more conservative churches to attend the UCC church. In light of that rejection, CBS accepting the Focus on the Family anti abortion ad was blatant hypocrisy.
In response to the outrage over the apparent hypocrisy CBS announced a willingness to consider ads from other political advocacy groups. However, with the rejection of the ad for the gay dating web site, CBS has made their politics all too clear.
By allowing Christian hate and denying gay love advertising time the network has made itself a poster child for intolerance and bigotry.

"Mancrunch" bwah hahahahahahahha hehehehe. The only "crunch" ad I want while I'm watching the Colts b**ch slap the Aints is for my favorite cereal Capn' Crunch. Don't need no stinking gay dating service ad on during America's Game while me and my bro's are slamming back some cold ones, some shots of Jimmy Beam, and some slices of pizza pie. Put that "Mancrunch" ad on at 3am on PBS where it belongs.
GIT-R-DONE TEBOW!!! GO GATORS!!! GO PRO-LIFE!!!
I don't need no Fruits mixed with my football watching I'll stick to my Jack Daniels with some good ole home-grown to chase it down with, Thank You. If you don't like the way I'm living you just leave this longhaired country boy alone.
So a little story about a lady who declined to get a recommended abortion gives birth to an American success story. Does that scare you and you buddies Mikey?
I would find an ad from a homosexual dating service on SuperBowl Sunday very offensive, yuk, eeeewww, gross!!! I mean like gag me.
OOPS.... I meant to say the lady decided NOT to get the recommended abortion.
For those who know the CBS culture, it is a very homophobic organization. This should surprise no one. They are liberal in their political views, but "traditional family values" permeate the place, and this includes all the David Letterman affairs, which CBS deems as part of "traditional family values." Gay rights are ignored, at best, or shunned at every opportunity such as this one. It is a heteronormative, homophobic organization.
"heteronormative" damn Mikey that's a good one. Dude you better jot that one down for your next homer sexual article, that's right up there with your "racist porn" line. Hey speaking of homer sexuals when is the next DADT story for us military guys against homer sexuals in the armed forces. OORAH TROOPS!!
Damn you mean CCCBS is homophobic? Isnt' that there what you call one of those OXYMAROONS?
Gays have no rights. Read the Constitution. The idea that acting in a deviant manner entitles one to any "rights" is not only wrong, it's bizarre. But then deviants, by definition, are bizarre. Somehow in this country homosexual behavior has gone from being viewed as criminal to shameful to acceptible, and now to "special"--all of this playing on the American idea that everyone should have certain rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet the criminal agenda of homosexuals to promote their sad degenerate "lifestyle" as 'special" and due "special" rights is, nevertheless, wrong and illegal, according to the Constitution. By the way, we should also take back the words you stole fromn us, like "gay", and the ones you made up, like "homophobia".
I find the bias on this story pretty disgraceful, if it is supposed to pass for journalism. LGBT call all that accept them tolerant, and all with a different opinion intollerant. You might want to go back and look up what those words mean, because you ate not using them correctly.
ummmmm, ummmm, the Bible says two men ought not lay together, ummmm alright den. i love you boy.
"Homophobia" is not a made-up word. It is acceptable English for someone who fears homosexual behavior. "Heteronormative" is also acceptable English for someone who believes that heterosexual behavior is the norm against which to compare and evaluate all other behavior. There is nothing inherently wrong with homophobia or using heteronormative standards, just as there is nothing inherently wrong with being an anti-Semite. If this is what you are, then so be it. But don't expect others to find this behavior acceptable or to share your values, and don't expect our laws to uphold them. Live and let live.
Really? Are you serious? This is not journalism, but bile from someone who is utterly self absorbed. Christians don't hate gays. But, it is certainly true that many gays hate Christ and Christians. Who are the real haters here? The ones who need to distort and demonize anyone who disagrees with them. The gay community has a lot to be ashamed of on this count. My advice to you, Michael Stone, is that you wake up to a whole wonderful world of people who don't think exactly like you and that you learn to take some real joy in that diversity. And despite what you have wrongly accused me of, may God bless you, anyway!
I just took a dump on that "Mancrunch" ad.
Hey Stoney why are you so after Christians when Christians can't even place a cross on White House grounds during Christmas, but Jewish Extremist groups have the right to place a menorah there. Hey Mikey if the Jewish population is only 2-3% of America's population and many of those Jews are atheists or non-practitioners of Judaism why is a menorah allowed at the White House but not a cross?? I mean we aren't Israel, we're the US which is 80% Christian and was founded by white western Europeans who were mostly Christian. Why don't you denounce or attack Jewish Extremist like you do Christians Mikey? Do you find that odd Mikey that a foreign religion takes precedence over Christianity which is what the major majority of Americans practice? Mikey why aren't there museums or movies about the Ukrainian Homodor were millions of Ukrainians were executed, tortured or starved to death? I mean we're bombarded with books, movies, documentaries nearly every day about the Holocaust but how often
is there a movie about the Homodor or the Armenian Genocide, Mao's killing of millions in China, Pol Pots murderous rampage in Cambodia?
I smell a few heterophobes here!
Do be hatin because you have a genetic disorder.
AGAIN FOR EMPHASIS:-Gays HAVE NO RIGHTS!! Read the Constitution. The idea that ACTING IN A DEVIANT MANNER entitles one to any "rights" is not only wrong, it's DEAD wrong! But then deviants, by definition, are DEAD WRONG in JUST ABOUT everything they do. Somehow, in less than sixty years in this country homosexual behavior has gone from being criminal to being viewed as shameful, to being viewed as acceptible, and now to "special" because of a long successful aggressive propaganda WAR waged by homosexuals--all of this playing on the American idea that EVERYONE should have certain rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet the criminal agenda of homosexuals to promote their sad, degenerate "lifestyle" as "special" and due "special" rights is, nevertheless, wrong and illegal, according to the Constitution. By the way, we should also take back the words you stole fromn us, like "gay", and the ones you made up, like "homophobia
what determines what is deviant?
