With the news of liberal California Democrat Henry Waxman retiring from Congress some are urging Abortion activist and outspoken Obamacare proponent Sandra Fluke to run for Congress.

Fluke gained national attention last year with her testimony before Congress about her inability to obtain birth control at Catholic Georgetown University. Unfortunate comments by right-wing commentator Rush Limbaugh elevated her to heroine status among the pro-abortion, pro-Obamacare left.

Even as Fluke was proven to not be quite as she described herself, the criticisms of Limbaugh continued (after he apologized) and Fluke became the victim, getting a call from the President and speaking at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Fluke told California Radio station KPCC, "I’m flattered that I’m being discussed as a potential candidate. A number of folks I respect very deeply have reached out today and encouraged me to run. I am strongly considering running."
