Abigail Breslin showed off her grown up side at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where according to a Jan. 21 E! News report, the young actress donned a soft blue gown, featuring sheer sleeves and a floral design. Adding to the “mature” look, the dressed showed off Breslin’s lovely cleavage. Big curls and a red lip completed her red carpet look.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the talented actress recently confessed to her red carpet jitters. The 17-year-old “August: Osage County” star, who also hit the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet, admits, “I always feel like the person who got invited as the plus-one,” adding “I’m always terrified.”
Forget “Little Miss Sunshine,” Breslin’s new role is all grown up. In “August: Osage County,” also starring Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep, Breslin plays Roberts’ teenage daughter, who enjoys smoking pot, E! News reports.
But fans should not assume that the star is sending a message about her more mature image. “I don't make these conscious decisions to do it to like prove to the world that I'm grown up,” Breslin told E! News. “I think people see my work and see what I do and see that I'm grown up. But yeah, I'm almost 18. Every headline for the past three years has been 'Abigail Breslin All Grown Up,' so I am kind of growing up. I do want to try different things but its all for fun.”
