Predictions for the 2014 TV show renewals are getting an early start even though fall has just started and official renewals and cancellations aren't released until May of next year. According to a Sept. 24 report from TV By The Numbers, "Revenge" and "Once Upon A Time" are likely to be renewed by ABC for the 2014-15 season.
As the report points out, both shows are going into their third season. Each ABC program will be within one more season of the minimum 88 episodes needed for syndication, which is profitable to the network. The report states that fans of "Revenge" and "Once Upon A Time" can rest assured these shows will be renewed at the end of the 2013-14 season.
Predictions also look good for "Last Man Standing" and "Suburgatory" for a third season, but it'll be a while before more is known on those two. More episodes will need to run before analysis can begin. It was noted that "Last Man Standing" did considerably better in ratings than "The Neighbors."
Between now and the end of the 2013-14 season next spring, major TV shows on ABC will be examined on whether or not they'll be renewed or canceled. Nothing is concrete until the final list is revealed each spring.
