ABC is jumping on the bandwagon to memorialize Whitney Houston on TV. Just yesterday, officials announced that a 2-hour episode of 20/20 will be devoted exclusively to the Queen of Pop. The new Whitney Houston TV special will take an in-depth look at the voice of the century – from Houston’s record-selling achievements and musical legacy to her rocky personal life and battle with addiction. It will also include Diane Sawyer’s groundbreaking interview that aired exactly ten years ago, as well as the latest developments about Whitney Houston’s final days.
The 20/20 two-hour special titled “One Moment in Time: The Life of Whitney Houston" airs at 9:00 p.m. ET on Friday, February 17th on ABC.

- Special Presentation of Cinderella: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. ET on BET. Set those DVRs for a special presentation of the 1997 movie starring Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg and Brandy.
- Special Presentation of Waiting To Exhale: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 4:05 p.m. on Encore. Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett star in the 1995 film. The soundtrack includes the number-one hit song "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)", sung by Whitney Houston.
- Remembering Whitney: Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. In memory of Whitney Houston, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will present a special two hour Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview, with the music legend's last in-depth television interview from The Oprah Winfrey Show. This special television event, what is arguably Houston’s most revealing and compelling interview of her career, will be rebroadcast as Winfrey reflects on her personal memories of the iconic superstar and shares with fans the magic of a musical icon who has gone too soon.
- VH1 Honors Whitney Houston: Thursday, February 16, 2012 (time to be determined) on VH1. VH1 will air a look back at Houston's best performances, including her appearances on VH1 Honors in 1996 and VH1 Divas in 1999 and 2003.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the funeral for Whitney Houston is set to take place at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey at noon on Saturday, February 18th. An autopsy was performed last Sunday, but the coroner was unable to determine a cause of death. He ordered toxicology tests, which could take up to six weeks to process. Whitney Houston’s body was flown on a private plane owned by Atlanta resident and producer Tyler Perry. Security was tight at Teterboro Airport, but 50 fans gathered outside to pay their respects.
Whitney Houston had a career envied by many. She won more than 400 awards and was best known for her hit song titled “I Will Always Love You.” The Grammy Awards honored Houston last Sunday when Jennifer Hudson performed a moving rendition of Houston’s hit song.
Whitney Houston left behind her 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, whose father is singer Bobby Brown. She was rushed to the hospital twice this past weekend for anxiety issues. Dad Bobby Brown released the following statement yesterday about his daughter…
My daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has been released and is presently with my family, including her siblings. Obviously, the death of her mother is affecting her. However, we will get through this tragedy as a family.
