Monday night, viewers of The Bachelor 2012 got to see a sneak peek of Emily Maynard's season of ABC's The Bachelorette 2012. She won over America during Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor last year, and fans were heartbroken when Brad and Emily split. Though she had denied any interest in The Bachelorette spot after the split, she has changed her mind and filming will begin soon. Monday night's clip was a great chance for “Bachelor Nation” viewers to get to know Emily again and get excited for her season this spring.

As fans remember, Maynard is a single mom to six-year-old Ricki, her daughter with the late Ricky Hendrick. Emily mentions that she gets lonely at times being a single mom, and she says, “I want to meet my husband so bad. I want to find a love that lasts forever. I'm tired of getting my hopes up and then having it not work out.”
Emily says she was really scared about the prospect of being The Bachelorette 2012, so ABC put together a fun excursion with previous 'ettes Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert. It's a shame, though, that ABC ignored the opportunity to bring in the most successful lady of the franchise: the original Bachelorette Trista Sutter. Trista even mentioned the slight on her Twitter Monday night, joking, “I guess my advice is old news.” Fans wish Trista had been there, and many think it would be smart of producers to incorporate her at some point this coming season since she is the only lead from the entire franchise to be married to her final rose recipient.
Maynard mentioned that she is nervous about taking on the role, and of course Ashley had a lot of the same worries. Emily said she's afraid the right guy won't be there, but Ali and Ashley told her to just believe in the possibilities. They gave her a “date card,” and the ladies went to watch “The Titanic” together. Emily says coming back to do the show is a huge risk and she's afraid of having her heart broken, but she knows true love exists and she's determined to find it.
