When it was first announced a few months ago that the finales to both ABC's epic sci-fi series "Lost" and NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice" were going to air on the same day, it was difficult not to sit back and even think that Donald Trump and company would be able to stay in the mix for very long.
However, a certain someone known as Bret Michaels has made the race far more interesting. One of the early criticisms of this season of "Apprentice" was the lack of star power -- this was aggrandized when the most controversial contestant, former Governor Rod Blagojevich, was taken off the show. Bret's unfortunate health problems (which include a brain hemorrhage and "warning stroke") have turned him into a sort of folk hero, and most of America is now getting behind him.
How many people will be behind him on Sunday night? That is the real question. "Lost" routinely beats "Apprentice" even when it's not the finale, so as much as people may want to see Bret (if he makes it to the show) the resolution to the island's mysteries may take precedence.
What will you be watching Sunday night, and do you think NBC made a mistake by putting "The Celebrity Apprentice" up against "Lost?" Feel free to share your thoughts below.

I think it is safe to say, Lost is, does, and will win out on this easily. Feel bad for Brett but have you looked beyond your website lately? Endless discussions and posts on every episode of Lost since 2004. Plus do you see any bands writing songs about episodes of The Apprentice? Look at these guys who are playing at a series finale screen in Brooklyn tonight and try and tell more people will be watch Trump's show.
