Before we get into the grand finale to ABC's "Lost," we had yet another opportunity to look back at the landmark drama. However, the powers-that-be decided to shake things up for "Lost: the Final Journey," giving us a full-fledged documentary instead of yet another recap show that we've seen a million times already.
So what were some of the highlights this time around?
Character profiles
We've seen this sort of thing already, but it was nice to take a look back at Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and some of the others after we've seen almost their entire story arcs. In the cases of Jin and Sayid, meanwhile, we've seen everything -- at least in the island world.
That said, where was Dominic Monaghan, and Maggie Grace, and that dude from "The Vampire Diaries?"
The hidden facts
Who knew that so much of the show was shot in Hawaii, or than Ben Linus was jokingly the most "beaten-up" characters in the history of TV? David Lindelof and Carlton Cuse talked about the intellectual quality of the show, and how people can make connections between things.
The major plot points
After all, the point of this episode was still to educate viewers who weren't necessarily tuning in to every episode of the series. Therefore, we a good bit about the hatch, the freighter, the island moving, Desmond trying to contact Penny, and polar bears getting shot in the jungle. (Okay, that only happened once.)
We also got to reminisce over a handful of memorable moments, from the raft's attempt to leaving the island to Ben stopping Locke from killing himself only for him to take him down instead. The recap didn't have enough time to full explain everything (like the time travel) to casual fans, but do any of us really understand it fully, either?
After the recap...
What can you say? The finale now seems to be even more significant, as one of the most influential TV shows

Argh! I'm in the UK - wish I could have all these behind the scenes and documentaries/catch-ups that you're all having...!
Instead, I've decided to rewatch some of my favourite episode/scenes - like the pilot (seems apt), most of Desmond's episodes, Charlie's "Greatest Hits", and Locke's death...
sorry to disturb u. just take u a little time.
