If five hours of "Lost" coverage wasn't enough for you on May 23, then you're in for some good news -- according to Entertainment Weekly, ABC has announced that the series finale will now be extended by half an hour. For those of you keeping track, this now means that we will have a two-hour retrospective beginning at 7:00 Eastern followed by the two-and-a-half-hour series finale. At the end of all this, Jimmy Kimmel will bring out Damon Lindelof and some other special guests for the live post-show celebration.
So is this too much "Lost" to handle? It really depends on how you look at ti. Not everyone will tune in to the retrospective, and some people will likely head off to bed before Kimmel gets going in full force. With that in mind, credit really has to go to ABC here for giving the hardcore fans something to be extremely happy about -- a finale that ties up all the loose ends and really tributes a show that helped to re-shape the fabric of the serial drama on television.
