ABC's 'Castle' season 4 spoilers: Beckett learns a valuable truth

While Monday night's episode of "Castle" is set to be the long-awaited noir entitled "The Blue Butterfly," we are going to see something rather significant following this -- a key episode featuring Jennifer Beals as a CIA agent with some ties to Rick's past.

Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe hints that there may be something even greater at play here -- Beals' Sophia Conrad could have been a muse for Castle far before Beckett ever was:

"She is a CIA agent and, as we know, in Richard Castle's first series of books, a female CIA agent figured prominently ... So, of course, it would lead us to ask: Is Beckett Castle's first muse?

"Beckett has to wrestle with where she thought she stood in Castle's life and where she might really stand in Castle's life. I think it's natural in a situation like that to feel threatened to some extent, and to measure yourself up."

While we have seen our two leads become closer to each other throughout season 4, there is also still one issue really keeping them apart at the moment -- the secrets that each one is keeping from the other.

Do you think Beckett could be troubled greatly by this revelation?
