ABC renews for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Revenge’, ‘Resurrection’ & ‘Once Upon A Time’

According to Deadline on Thursday, ABC has announced most of the series it is renewing for the 2014-2015 season. First came the dramas, then many of its comedies. This announcement deals with shows already being aired that will be continued next season. Below are those we know about so far.

The Shonda Rhimes series have all been picked up including “Grey’s Anatomy” heading into season 11 and “Scandal” which will start season 4. Rhimes’ also produced a pilot for a new series, “How to Get Away with Murder,” which ABC picked up as a series for 2014.

TV Guide has confirmed that he network has also renewed “Castle”, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, and “Dancing with the Stars,” which will be heading for season 19.

The network’s entire Sunday night lineup has also been renewed, meaning fans of “Once Upon A Time” will see a fourth season; “Resurrection” fans will get a second season and “Revenge” fans get to watch the fun in the Hamptons in season 4.

In the comedy category, ABC renewed ‘The Middle’ for a season 6. “Modern Family” will be back for a sixth season and “The Goldbergs” will also be back. Not yet announced but expected to be renewed is “Last Man Standing.”

ABC has apparently cut “The Neighbors”, “Mixology” and “Trophy Wife” and WBTV’s “Suburgatory” from its fall lineup. The network has not made an official announcement but stars of these shows are making comments on Twitter about the cancellations.

Marcia Gay Harden tweeted, “Thank [you for] watching beloved fans. Parting is such sweet sorrow. Trophy Wife cancelled [sic] just hours ago."

"RIP #Mixology," Frankie Shaw said on Twitter. "Sad day. Love to all you Mixology fans. Keep watching! Great episodes left, esp[cially] the finale. Xoxoxoxo."

This morning, Toks Olagundoye posted, "Tweeps, I have known since last night, but was not able to share the news until it was announced publicly. #TheNeighbirs [sic] has been cancelled😔."
