This has been a struggling fall season for the ABC network. Several of the new shows have not been off to a great start, but “Lucky 7” has been the worst. The series premiere garnered less than stellar ratings and the second episode got half of what the premiere raked in. According to an article posted by the LA Times on October 4, “Lucky 7” has officially become the first show of the new season to be canceled. The show was based off a British show that was along the same lines. While it did well in England, ABC fans didn’t take to it.
“Lucky 7” was still in production when the announcement came of the cancellation. There hasn’t been any information about whether the remaining episodes will air, but it looks like that may not happen. Many fans have voiced their concern over the lack of publicity the show received, leading them to speculate this show wasn’t important to the network.
ABC will now have the daunting task of trying to find a replacement to air in the Tuesday night time slot. “Lucky 7” aired Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. CST on the ABC network.
