ABC News Nightline ran a story about black women who are unmarried over the holiday weekend. The video was uploaded to youtube and had over 20,000 hits in the first 24 hours. The video is a short seven minute piece ABC News Nightline about black women who live in Atlanta, and who are successful, but not married. The women in the group shown are in their 20s and 30s; see the video below.
In the ABC news story, Steve Harvey throws in his two cents about why he thinks so many black women are not married and the expectations that they have, and perhaps they need to re-think those expectations. ABC New Nightline reported that 42% of black successful women are single, and that number is cut in half for white women.
The internet buzz on this story is hot because the story just aired this weekend, and because many successful black women who are single want to know why.

I just love how Mr. Harvey, a comic turned relationship guru acknowledges the prior generations failure and then advertises same generation as an answer to single black women unmarried. He is the taking advantage of a problem his boomer-generation created. Willie Lynch at its finest!
