There are a number of moving parts with ABC when it comes to the network's overall future, but there is perhaps none that is creating greater concern for many than the negotiations that are currently happening with "Grey's Anatomy." Many of the show's key actors (including Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey) have their contracts expiring after this current season -- and considering the strong ratings the show pulled in last week, demand is as high for new episodes as ever.
Unfortunately, ABC programming head Paul Lee declined comment on the state of the contract dispute while at TCA on Tuesday -- meanwhile, creator Shonda Rhimes recently did express confidence that things would end up working out.
While things could change in the blink of an eye, Dempsey seems to be the one at the moment who is most intent on trying other things -- saying in interviews over the summer that he wanted to try different genres of entertainment.
Do you think the show will manage to get everyone back?
