ABC moves 'SHIELD' one hour on Tuesdays; 'Agent Carter' debuts mid-season

Other than fighting the evil HYDRA organization and rebuilding their own, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will once again take on NCIS this fall -- but with a twist.

Phil Coulson and his team will be facing off against NCIS: New Orleans, as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air an hour later on Tuesdays, while Agent Carter will be a mid-season replacement.

Hayley Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy Carter, the love interest of Steve Rogers/Captain America, the super-soldier who became the First Avenger.

The year is 1946; the men are coming home, as World War II comes to an end. The woman's role is now reduced ... yet Peggy Carter is no ordinary woman, as she must balance her secretarial duties with the S.S.R. and her missions for Howard Stark, who is not only one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., but he is also the father of Tony Stark, the self-proclaimed billionaire playboy genius who will grow up to become the armored Avenger known as Iron Man.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. moves to Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC this fall.
