The 2014 mid-season TV replacement crime show, “Killer Women” (ABC) can be seen on Tuesday evenings at 10/9 p.m. Last week's premiere episode on Jan. 7 was called, “La Sicaria.” It grabbed 3.87 TV viewers overall. It reached 0.9 TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. It was beaten by “Chicago Fire” (NBC) with 6.77 overall & 1.9 with adults. “Person of Interest” (CBS) won the 10 p.m. time-slot by grabbing 12.11 overall & 2.0 with adults. “Killer Women” episode tonight on Jan. 14 is called, “Some men need killing.”
According to the official website of “Killer Women”, the synopsis is right here - “Of all the notorious lawmen who have ever patrolled the violent Texas frontier, none are more storied than the 'Texas Rangers.' But, being the only female ranger in this elite squad isn't going to stop bad-ass Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer). Molly is committed to finding the truth and seeing justice served. While she's surrounded by law enforcement colleagues who want to see her fail, the Rangers have her back.”
The show is executive produced by actress, Sofia Vergara (Modern Family on ABC). It is a United States television remake of the Spanish TV show called, “Mujeres Asesinas” (2005). The Texas Rangers go after notorious women who kill in the state of Texas. “Killer Women” has reportedly finished the first TV season with 8 episodes. It was filmed entirely at Albuquerque, NM.
Molly Parker is the only female Texas Ranger who is aggressive on bringing women who kill to justice.
