ABC has given a series order for the modern TV show version of the 70's hit "Charlie's Angels". The guest stars for "Charlie's Angels" are being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller speaking roles, extras, and stand-ins are being cast in Miami, FL.
The cast includes former "Friday Night Lights" actress Minka Kelly, "General Hospital" regular Annie Ilonzeh and "Transformers" actress Rachael Taylor as the new beautiful "Angels". Ramon Rodriguez plays role of Charlie's detective agency liason Bosley.
The pilot episode of "Charlie's Angels" was set and shot entirely in Miami and obviously made quite an impression on studio execs, as the show is one of 13 new series that ABC has picked up for the Fall 2011 season. "Charlie's Angels", which is set to air on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC, will lead into a pair of the network's heavyweight series, "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice".
