The news isn’t good if you’re attached to the Sofia Vergara show “Killer Women” on ABC. On Jan. 17, Wetpaint said cancellation was likely but E! Online confirmed it the same day and said the show was being replaced by a new show starring Christian Slater.

After just two weeks, “Killer Women” is off the schedule due to low ratings. “Mind Games” with Christian Slater in the lead will be taking its place. The new show wasn’t slated to premiere until March 11 but has been moved up to a Feb. 25 launch instead, according to ABC president Paul Lee.

“Killer Women” earned a dismal 0.7 share in week 2, a drop of 22% from the series premiere which only earned a 0.9 share. This is was the second lowest-rated premiere for the fall schedule, coming in behind ABC’s “The Assets” which has also been cancelled already. In addition to low ratings, the show garnered incredibly bad reviews, too.

The cancelled show will continue to air 4 more episodes but will stop after its sixth episode instead of its planned eighth.
