Ryan Seacrest Productions is in pre-production on a new 1/2 hour single-camera comedy series pilot for ABC titled "Mixology," and the casting directors are holding auditions for the series regulars. Guest starring and possible recurring roles will be cast as soon as the regulars are cast. In addition to the principal actors, stand-ins will be hired prior to the start of shooting on March 18, 2013. The background extras will be cast throughout filming on the pilot episode, taking place in Los Angeles. The show is about a group of ten main characters, five guys and five gals, trying to find love at a trendy Manhattan bar. Where on each episode two of them will be meeting for the first time, sometimes sparks fly and other times they fizzle out.
Details on how talent can submit for acting roles, and registration information for extras can be found on the following casting post:
Mercedes Masohn plays tough-as-nails sports attorney Maya, who starts to wonder how mean she treats people might be leading her down a path of loneliness and isolation. Kate Simses plays Maya’s best friend from work Liv, who is engaged to a lovably boring investment banker and starting to have second thoughts - the worst place for her to be is in this bar, full of attractive, aggressive single men. Blake Lee plays handsome nice guy accountant Tom, who is trying to get back out there after eight years of monogamy. Andrew Santino plays Tom’s best friend from college Bruce, who is unattractive, rude, broke and stuck in a lousy job.
