ABC announces the season 16 cast of 'Dancing with the Stars' (Video)

ABC announced its cast for the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars”. This year’s cast is fairly well-rounded with four coming from professional sports, two comedians, a couple of country singers, a former soap star, a Disney Channel breakout, and a Real Housewife (of Beverly Hills).

Here are the pairings:

ALY RAISMAN is a gold medal winning Olympic gymnast . She is partnered with two-time winner Mark Ballas.

ANDY DICK is a wild comedian and should bring the comedy factor to the show. Mark is partnered with Sharna Burgess in her first season with the show as a professional.

D.L. HUGHLEY is one of “The Original Kings of Comedy”, and he will be dancing with Cheryl Burke, another two-time winner.

DOROTHY HAMILL won a gold medal in Figure Skating and America’s hearts in 1976; she will be dancing with Tristan McManus.

INGO RADEMACHER is a former “General Hospital” star who currently is a stand-up paddle board racer. He is partnered with Kym Johnson. Kym has two trophies from here in the U.S. and one from an Australian version of the popular show.

JACOBY JONES just won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens and will be competing with Karina Smirnoff for the Mirror Ball trophy. Karina has won one season.

KELLIE PICKLER, an “American Idol” contestant turned country singer. She is partnered with three time winner Derek Hough.

LISA VANDERPUMP is originally from London but most will know her as one of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. Her partner, dancing his first season as one of the professional dancers, is Gleb Savchenko.

Victor ORTIZ is a professional boxer with the nickname “Vicious”. Ortiz will be dancing with another first time professional, Lindsay Arnold.

WYNONNA JUDD is an author, five-time Grammy winner, and Country-music legend. Her partner is last season’s winner, Tony Dolovani.

ZENDAYA COLEMAN is a star of the Disney Channel series show, “Shake It Up!” She is partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, and at 16, will be the youngest competitor to date.

Season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars” will begin on March 18 at 7:00 PM CST on an ABC affiliate near you.
