Abby Lee Miller takes credit for Meryl Davis' and Maks Chmerkovskiy's 'DWTS' win

Abby Lee Miller is celebrating Meryl Davis' and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's "Dancing with the Stars" win, especially because she thinks she had something to do with it. On Tuesday, May 20, after Meryl and Maks were pronounced the winner of season 18, the "Dance Moms" star quickly took to social media to take credit for the win.

In an Instagram post, Abby congratulated Meryl and said that she was the one to beat from the very beginning. Yet Abby also wrote that she's glad that she was tough on Meryl when she served as a guest judge on the show. She believes that Meryl took her advice to work on her footwork and won as a result. "Maybe just maybe SHE listened & concentrated on feet for the lyrical freestyle!" Abby wrote, next to a promo photo of her appearance on the dance competition.

While some people agreed and replied that Abby is an awesome dance coach, others weren't so kind. One person was incredulous that Abby would try to take credit for the win, writing that it shows what a big ego she has. On Twitter, some people told Abby that she's full of herself and had nothing to do with Meryl's and Maks' win. One person wrote that she's sure that what Abby told Meryl and Maks went in one ear and out the other.

Going by what Maks said after the show for which Abby served as a guest judge, it's likely that he didn't use any of Abby's advice to improve Meryl's dancing for their final performance. After Abby criticized Meryl's footwork during their rumba on the Tuesday, May 5, episode, going so far as calling it "horrendous," Maks told host Erin Andrews that he "really do[esn't] care for anything [Abby] has to say."

Unfortunately for Abby Lee Miller, it doesn't look as if she'll get another chance to guest judge on "Dancing with the Stars," no matter how much she thinks she had to do with Meryl Davis' and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's win. Many of the pro dancers spoke out against her after her appearance and permanent judge Carrie Ann Inaba even admitted that Abby wasn't right for the show.
